Baby Moon at the Beach
Baby Moon at the Beach is coming to the Inn on the Ocean!
Are you E-X-P-E-C-T-I-N-G? Expect a lot from your weekend at the beach!
Day One
The EXPECTANT couple arrives by 5:00 pm on Friday, check -in and relax or go for a leisurely walk on the famous Ocean City Boardwalk.
6-7:30 Welcome beverages and appetizers, Birth Class (signs of labor, stages of labor, what to pack for the hospital and when to come to the hospital, the importance of relaxation and introduction to breathing/relaxation techniques). Dinner on your own (we'll provide some great suggestions for dining in and around OC).
Day Two
Optional Prenatal Yoga from 7:00-8:00am
Breakfast at 9:00 am
10:00-11:30am Birth Class (the morning begins with a guided meditation, discussion of birth myths and realities, where labor pain comes from and how to negotiate it, continuous epidural anesthesia, intrathecal narcotics, combined spinal epidural and patient-controlled epidural anesthesia are also discussed) Rest of the day on your own.
Optional meditation evening program with beverages, sweet treat and fruit from 9:00-10:00pm.
Imagine ending your evening with the sound of the sea in the background and the soothing voice of your educator guiding you to a place of peacefulness and calm.
Day Three
Optional Prenatal Stretch from 7:00-8:00am
Breakfast at 9:00 am
10:00-11:30 am Birth Class (cesarean birth and other birth technologies are discussed, birth and newborn adaptation are presented, breathing and relaxation techniques are reviewed).
Check out at 1:00 pm
Massage therapist available by appointment in the Oceana Room, additional charge $75.00/hour
